DR. ASHLEY HERMAN, DNP
Insula's founder, Ashley, is a Doctor of Nursing Practice and a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist who specializes in non-surgical facial rejuvenation. She earned her Doctorate at Rush University with Summa Cum Laude honors and is the recipient of the prestigious Agatha Hodgins award. Ashley's background as an anesthesia provider has provided her with expert injection skills, advanced knowledge of anatomy and physiology, and practiced commitment to patient education and safety.
Ashley is a national Merz Aesthetics trainer, an Energy Based Device educator for Beautiphi Academy, and an educator and mentor for aesthetic injectors across the country.
JOANNA BENTZ, LICENSED ESTHETICIAN, CERTIFIED LASER TECHNICIAN, AESTHETIC INSTRUCTOR
Joanna is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Laser Technician, and Aesthetic Instructor with over 16 years of experience in medical aesthetics. She graduated top of her class from Naperville Skin Institute and went on to earn her instructor license, teaching aspiring estheticians comprehensive skincare approaches involving non-surgical treatments and expert skincare routines.
With extensive experience in energy-based devices and advanced laser technologies, Joanna specializes in delivering safe, effective, and natural-looking results. She is known for her thorough consultations and commitment to client education—helping patients feel informed, confident, and empowered in their skincare journey.
Outside of work, Joanna enjoys golfing, listening to live music, spending time with her husband and grown kids, and curling up with a good book and her two beloved dogs.

A proud Baylor University graduate in Marketing and Communications, she thrives on merging her expertise with a warm, personable touch. She's the cornerstone of our clinic's success and the embodiment of grace under pressure, ensuring every visit is met with a smile and a streamlined experience. When not at Insula Millie can be found enjoying time with her family, working out at the gym or visiting her home state of Texas.
