DR. ASHLEY HERMAN, DNP, FOUNDER OF INSULA AESTHETICS, EXPERT INJECTOR, AESTHETIC EDUCATOR
Dr. Ashley Herman is the founder of Insula Aesthetics and a nationally recognized aesthetic provider, educator, and trainer specializing in advanced non-surgical facial rejuvenation, biostimulation, and energy-based skin treatments.
Ashley earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Rush University with Summa Cum Laude honors and is the recipient of the prestigious Agatha Hodgins Award. Her background as a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist gives her a deep foundation in anatomy, physiology, procedural safety, and precision-based injection technique.
Ashley is a national trainer for Merz Aesthetics and Rohrer Aesthetics, and leads s a Center of Excellence in Insula Aesthetics for iLaser1940. In 2024, she founded Insula Academy to provide advanced training and mentorship for aesthetic providers across the country. She continues to lead patient care at Insula with an approach grounded in education, safety, facial balance, and natural-looking results — helping patients feel restored, confident, and still completely themselves.
AMANDA KIMBALL, FNP, AESTHETIC INJECTOR,
LASER SKIN REJUVENATION, ULTHERAPY SPECIALIST
Amanda Kimball is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong foundation in nursing and a passion for medical aesthetics. With over 14 years of hands-on patient care experience, she brings a deep understanding of safety, precision, and compassionate care into every treatment. Amanda takes an evidence-based approach to her practice, combining in-depth knowledge of anatomy with the latest techniques and best practices in aesthetic medicine. She is committed to delivering thoughtful, individualized treatments that prioritize safety and optimal outcomes, while ensuring each client feels informed, comfortable, and confident in their care. Outside of the clinic, Amanda is a busy mom of three who enjoys spending time with her family and embracing the balance between motherhood and her growing career in aesthetics.
JOANNA BENTZ, LE LICENSED ESTHETICIAN, CERTIFIED ULTHERAPIST
Joanna is a Licensed Esthetician, Certified Laser Technician, and Aesthetic Instructor with over 16 years of experience in medical aesthetics. She graduated top of her class from Naperville Skin Institute and went on to earn her instructor license, teaching aspiring estheticians comprehensive skincare approaches involving non-surgical treatments and expert skincare routines.
With extensive experience in energy-based devices and advanced laser technologies, Joanna specializes in delivering safe, effective, and natural-looking results. She is known for her thorough consultations and commitment to client education—helping patients feel informed, confident, and empowered in their skincare journey.
Outside of work, Joanna enjoys golfing, listening to live music, spending time with her husband and grown kids, and curling up with a good book and her two beloved dogs.

As Director of Client Experience, Millie is passionate about creating the thoughtful, personal touches that make the Insula experience feel distinctly different. With a background in hospitality, she brings a unique perspective to the client journey, blending connection and strategy to help shape how clients experience Insula at every touchpoint.
Known for her warm, personable approach and deep understanding of the Insula community, Millie is always looking for ways to elevate the client experience and ensure the heart of Insula is felt in everything we do.
Millie lives in Glen Ellyn with her family. When not working behind the scenes at Insula, she can be found spending time with them, working out at the gym, or visiting her home state of Texas.

As Director of Operations at Insula Aesthetics, Brenna is passionate about creating an exceptional client experience while supporting the systems and relationships that keep the practice running smoothly. She brings a thoughtful, organized approach to her work and enjoys fostering meaningful connections with both clients and the community. Outside of Insula, Brenna is a certified Pilates instructor who loves traveling, prioritizing wellness, and spending time with her husband and their two dogs. A western suburbs native, she is proud to serve the community she calls home.
