Our clients will agree that one Pico treatment tends to give beautiful and noticeable improvement to skin tone and texture, pigment, scarring, and pore size. Depending on your particular skin condition, goals, and treatment settings, you may decide to perform additional treatments to get to your final goal.

Maintenance of pigment is largely personal, based on lifestyle, skincare routines, and genetics. The pigment you see reduced is permanently gone, however new pigment can form from sun exposure and other life events. Maintenance treatments are aimed to decrease and reverse those signs as they become apparent in your skin. For many people this may be once per year, though some may require more.

Pico can be performed without numbing, and has a warm sensation similar to a rubber band snapping. We do offer a topical numbing solution to all of our clients to ensure a comfortable treatment. We recommend calling the front desk or stopping in office to review and receive numbing for your treatment.

Pico is a low-downtime procedure! You will leave your treatment looking sunburnt, which will resolve typically within a day. Any specific brown spots targeted will turn dark brown, red, or have a red ring around them for up to 7 days. You may wear makeup after Pico, and you must wear at least SPF 30 daily and avoid sun exposure for at least a week.

Pico is a very rewarding treatment. Typically at your two week follow up we can already see visible reduction in brown spots, skin redness, fine lines, pore size, and an overall increase in glow and tone. You will continue to brighten for an additional 2-4 weeks after treatment
